Over the last years a lot has been said and recorded about “measuring” science, about its quality and criteria for determining its importance and value, i.e. determining its social efficiency. It is an interesting initiative both from a professional and research point of view. The process includes at least two parties: those who create science and those who evaluate it or, to be more precise, who use it. It is highly probable that the attitude of the parties towards the result will differ. In order not to make it seem too primitive and consumerist, we should consider it as a process that is too complicated, both for its reporting and assessment.
